Dambusters Rum

A Special Drop for The Dambusters

Challenge

A limited edition release to commemorate the 80th anniversary of 'Operation Chastise'. Operation Chastise, commonly known as the Dambuster Raid, was a daring and innovative military operation carried out by the Royal Air Force (RAF) during World War II. On the night of May 16-17, 1943, 617 Squadron, led by Wing Commander Guy Gibson, embarked on a mission to destroy three major dams in Germany's Ruhr Valley — Möhne, Eder, and Sorpe — using specially designed bouncing bombs. The objective was to cripple the industrial heartland of Nazi Germany.

Solution

The packaging tube is designed to reflect the cylindrical design of Barnes Wallis' Bouncing Bomb that was used to destroy the dams. The textured design includes embossed 'rivets' and seams to add greater detail and realism. 133 bottles will be sold in recognition of the brave aircrew involved in the operation. 80% of the profits will go towards supporting The Lincolnshire Aviation Centre19 special bottles will feature additional labels with the crew info of the 19 Lancasters that were involved.
